ISLAND MIRABILIS

Our modular kitchen concept refers to furniture that fits perfectly into the architecture of a home, a cabinet that blends into the space it occupies, becoming part of it, creating an all-round interior design that reflects a comprehensive project. Likewise, functionality is very important to us. Thanks to the patented Mirabilis mechanism, we have managed to unit these two aspects.
In the wall version, the kitchen can be hidden away with a simple movement of the hand. The "curtain" – made up of two horizontal fronts - falls elegantly and conceals any untidiness in the kitchen, whose function is cleverly hidden behind it. A simple movement of the hand and the kitchen becomes a pure and linear volume.
Just as an actor would, the kitchen withdraws behind the scenes and the entire open space becomes a living room once again. The kitchen and its function become visible again only when someone lifts the panel.

What makes this system so interesting?
People often meet in the kitchen because that's where they like to spend most of their time with family, friends and guests. Cooking is sharing, socialising, participation and fun. For us, the kitchen is the lively and vital hub of a home.
In modern interior design projects the kitchen is usually connected to the living room. This way of dividing spaces brings both advantages and disadvantages with it.
We have tried to find a solution to this new demand, using design to pursue essentials and functionality without forgetting aesthetics. The result is our "Mirabilis – the magic of space" system. Here we have combined design, ergonomics and technology. The pleasure of moving around in a space that is aesthetically well built and functional conveys a pleasant feeling and enriches our daily life by uniting the logic of practicality with an emotional utilisation of spaces.
